I really like this idea. Emoticons are completely silly but most of us on Plurk enjoy using them. Having some super duper exclusive and neato emoticons would be great.

Inappropriate?@Alvin - how about an extra 20 characters so you can make your own freeform qualifiers? /SHOUTS/ from the top of his lungs. The whole thing of qualifiers is that you don't use your 140, so at Karma maybe you "earn" 160 instead, and the ability to put some other silly word in /hash/ marks to highlight it?
Or you get to choose 3 personal qualifiers in your profile? Then they are available on the pull down?
