Need to be able to completely block a specific user
Please assist us with the ability to block a specific user from appearing on our timelines. We would like to be able to select a user and then be assured that their plurks and plurk responses don't appear on our screens. For example, if spammer spams my friend then when I look at my friend's plurks in my timeline I should not see messages from spammer.

Inappropriate?you and your friend can set your timeline to "Allow only my friends to view my plurks" (my account > privacy). That way, only both of your friends are allow to see both your plurks.3 Comments

I agree that this is possible. However it really means closing down interaction with new people completely and thus changes the nature of the beast rather too much. I feel that if many people do that, their timelines will stagnate, leading to them dropping off plurk. I would find a comprehensive block more useful, and would be interested to hear if that is too difficult or seriously undesirable from Plurk's point of view. -
oh, i'm just offering another alternative since such block feature is not available atm :). Another solution you can try is both you and your friend block that same person.

Definitely warn all your friends of known "spam" type accounts, but blocking for personality differences should really be the model here, and the problem is you still see that person's responses in other plurks. Which may be correct, because the conversation would appear broken without those comments, but I can understand not wanting to see them. Maybe they are not normally displayed but there is some kind of "show blocked plurkers" per conversation that would let you display them on a per plurk basis.
