Typing lag while plurking

Whenever I am typing a plurk on the normal page (not the mobile page), the text I type shows up extremely slowly. I often have to wait several seconds for the text to catch up to what I already typed. Possibly related problem: Sometimes when I am typing there seems to be a split second where what I typed does not get processed.

For example, I will type the sentence "I am having a problem with plurk" and what shows up in the plurk box is "I am hav problem with plurk".
