UI time line pagination "ideas"
1) it would be nice to see "day at a glance" instead of having to page back, especially since you have the "calendar" icon at the bottom of the time line section of the page
2) it would also be nice to not have to keep clicking on the "page back" icon to go backwards. - Maybe going out on a limb, but a "click and hold" button to go back by page...
3) "drag" feature is an interesting idea, but you can still only drag the page by what you see.
4) in addition to "go back to the present"; would also be nice to be able to go back to the beginning (of your plurstream)

Inappropriate?Hi,
I just want to share some extra tips on how you can navigate your timeline.
Besides from the mouse drag and blue arrow buttons, you can also go left and right with your keyboard arrow keys, or the mouse scroll wheel. :) -
Inappropriate?I appreciate that info Alvin, but I'd still like to see fiveinchpixie's points more fully addressed. I'm particularly interested in knowing why you've got a "back to start" popup blue arrow on the right-hand side of the timeline in addition to the left-hand side. Intuitively, I would expect (and really appreciate) a "back to end" (of unread plurks/replies) on the right-hand side. Dragging/scrolling/arrowing is ok for some I guess, but I've often got +300 unread replies to check out, and I prefer to do it oldest->newest.
I’m waiting for further feedback

Inappropriate?I also want better scrolling options... left right arrow 'keys' are completely useless unless all you want to do is try to fix a plurk that's not fully on screen:
1) Please capture "page up" and "page down" key presses. Scroll a full screen resolution's worth (same behavior as existing arrow buttons).
2) j+k navigation. Many websites I use actually use these hotkeys, love it. To get fancy. Shift+J/Shift+K could be same as scrolling a whole page. lower case j+k could scroll the timeline by one plurk, and perhaps even auto open the plurk in focus at the center of the screen.
3) (seconding Greg's request) PLEASE ADD A "BACK TO BEGINNING" BUTTON, this is mostly applicable on the filter/view of "recent responses". I haven't decided yet if my catching up on plurk activity needs to be newest to oldest, or oldest to newest. I would be nice to have both implemented in the navigation features. It could take the place of the "back to start" that is currently displayed on the right side.
I’m interested in improvements

Inappropriate?I had a similar request and I was directed to here. I definitely would prefer a "Back to oldest" or "Back to end" when in the "View new responses" view/filter. Enabling that option during the filtered view would make more sense, particularly for those that have many responses or new Plurks to view.
I’m hoping for a change

I was also wondering why the button on the right doesn't say something like "Back to the oldest." It's so hard to go back in time with the timeline right now so the mobile version seems a bit better in that respect.
