Site-wide download issues fixed! Last reply on March 15, 2008 15:57.
Well that was fast! The crew at Libsyn quickly identified the issue and pulled the offending code. Downloads should be happening normally.
If you find an error (and that could happend) please *do not* report it on this thread. Instead, start a new PROBLEM so that we can investigate each one individually. And be sure to put the book title and episode number in your title tag so that others with the same problem can easily find your report and just add to it. -

Episodes not downloading March 12, 2008 Last reply on March 12, 2008 15:04.
Episodes not downloading? Some time last night, the links to all of our files went down. We're in the middle of an upgrade to Libsyn Pro, and something obviously went wrong.
Tech support has been notified, and I'm hoping for a resolution shortly. As soon as I hear it, I'll post something here. Or you should just notice your episodes start to download on your next refresh cycle.
And hey, I'm in the same boat. I have about 2 hours of driving ahead of me today and was looking forward to episodes from four books I'm listening to! -

The Three Novels of Tom Lichtenberg Last reply on February 11, 2008 04:05.
Two of the three subscriptions did not download an episode - I got an error instead. iTunes could not deliver, either. I removed the subscription to those two stories: Somebody Somewhere, Secret Sidewalk.
I am puzzled. I never used to get so many errors. Is this the price I pay for increased readership, or is it server troubles?
I have invoked St. Vidicon to intercede for me and battle Murphy so I can enjoy my simple electronic toys.
ETA: Ah. I see at the Podiobooker blog that this is a known problem - with no known solution. (Better light another candle.) -

Episode download issues solved -- we're pretty sure! Last reply on February 11, 2008 04:03.
First, thanks for hanging in there while we struggled with this issue. We've just heard from the media hosting company (Libsyn, and I really do love those guys) that the issue has been tracked down and fixed.
We think.
Reality is that there may be some lingering bugs. If you find a buggy episode, we need to know about it. Huge props to all of you who've been using this site to report problems. It's many times better than email.
If you do notice a problem, what we really need is the URL of the file you are trying to access. Now that's going to be hard to get if you are letting your RSS reader do the downloading. You can access the book's page and try to download the episode directly. That should give you a URL. But really, just telling us the episode number and the book title will be enough.
Here's to hoping this problem is fixed, and that we can get on to more important things, like adding new books and updating existing ones! -

General Feedback Last reply on January 28, 2008 17:50.
this system is not as good as the old way of writing you an email. I had podio problems and then had problems reporting it. Then have to go through so many hoops just to send in a comment. How about creating a topic just for simple feedback rather than problem solving? -
