Ha, finally just a question and not a problem!
Over the last few months, I've noticed that downloaded episodes have a really extended file name. For example from this mornings downloads:
PB-DoubleShare-11_nvb_20080713154002_nva_20080714154002_t_013fd1dc143a03dd4f710.mp3
Now, I've figured out that the "nvb" and "nva" portions seem to be date and time and the stuff after the "t" looks like a CRC hash of some kind.
My questions is why did this start appearing a few months ago and is there any way other than editing the file name to get rid of it. Long file names can be a PIA for some MP3 players and even computer systems?
Just curious,

P.S. "Double Share" is only used as an example as the system requires that I put in a product name.

Inappropriate? This is because we've moved to using Libsyn Pro. Are you having an issue, in particular? If so...send me info about the mp3 player info and the podcacthewr you are using, and I'll let the Libsyn guys know.

Inappropriate? No real issue as I just delete all that stuff in the filename after the download. I was just curious about the change.
I did find out that most of my mp3 players don't like those long filenames.
Thanks for the reply about why the change happened.
I’m happy
