I think you are confused by how the author has set up his title descriptions. There is no "part 1 of episode 5". Rather, episode 5 is the start of Part 2 of his book. A bit confusing, but if you look at how the other episodes are named, you'll see this is the case.

Part I concluded with the fourth episode, and part 2 will conclude in episode 9.
