On all the books I have subscribed to, I click on the i-tunes button and nothing happens. Should something happen? I would prefer to download episodes directly, because I absolutely abhor i-tunes! In fact, i-tunes is the reason I do NOT own an iPod.

Well, if you don't have an iPod and you don't want to use iTunes to manage your subscriptions, there's really no reason for you to click that iTunes link. But yes, it should and does work. Sounds like your computer doesn't know to fire off the application. But again, you don't want to -- and don't have to -- use iTunes, so there's no need for you to click.

If you want to listen to episode directly, there's no need for you to subscribe at all. That's *only* if you want to have episodes delivered down to your computer via RSS and then transferred to a device for you to listen to. If you just want to click and listen, click and listen to any episode. No need to subscribe at all.

I understand your concern about creating a new login with GetSatisfaction. We wouldn't put you through the hassle, but it works really, really well. At some point we're hoping to simply pass along your Podiobooks.com login here, easing the process.

And for the last part, I have a difficult time understanding how you might have confused this process for email. The good news -- your email address isn't displayed. But your comments? Yep. Public. Just like every other comment left here on GetSatisfaction. Privacy isn't an issue. Your privacy is completely protected. No one knows anything about you other than "sunny" and what you wrote.

All things considered, it doesn't sound like we're a good fit for you. That's OK. Can't please everyone. :)
