Ripped off by writer? or Writer ripped off?
According to www.valpattee.com it is the intention to podcast ONLY the first 5 chapters via podibooks and then record and sell it as an audiobook in its entirety thru amazon. Is this so??? There is nothing to this effect in the blurb on podiobooks. Obviously the 5 chapters released thru podiobooks was to whet our appetites so we rush out and buy it from Amazon. Is this really what podiobooks is about?

Inappropriate?Not in the least. I've spoken to the producer of this book (listed on that same post you read) and he's told me that the intention is to release all of the episodes of the book right here on Podiobooks.com.
Let's get some clarification, as our intent is to ONLY release books that you can listen to completely on Podiobooks.com. -

Thanks for posting comments, so I can clarify. Yes, Evo is correct: it is our intention to record ALL the chapters for Podiobooks.com where it is and will be a free listening experience. We also plan to take all those podcasts and create an audio book that will be marketed is whatever ways we want to test. Selling through Amazon is one option. We've already set aside an ISBN for that purpose. The audiobook marketplace is booming and morphing very quickly right now.
This complete plan is not totally clear on www.valpattee.com, perhaps. My apologies for any confusion. We are very proud to have posted the first five episodes, because this is our first try at recording an audiobook. Five episodes is the minimum number to get started.
We hope to get back into production soon, when Val returns from holidays (he's off writing the sequel). Then I plan to record one of my own books: Book Marketing DeMystified (which features Podiobooks.com as a great marketing tool).
