Integration with Slideshare?
Would be ace if slidesets from Slideshare.net could be linked to talks. Ditto Slideshare/events. And/or the ability to upload PDFs of slides, and maybe "extra material". People often want to get some handout after a useful talk.

Inappropriate?Thanks for the comment, and we're definitely looking into slideshare integration at some level. Actual uploads gets a bit trickier, but if we can effectively and seamlessly piggyback on slideshare, that seems like the best bet.

Inappropriate?While we don't have any upload capabilities yet, you can easily add a link to your SlideShare presentation to your talk page on SpeakerRate. Just put it in the "Slides URL" box when you create the talk. Not quite as awesome yet as what you suggest, but maybe better than nothing?
