Concerning the API, it is actually possible to apply for an API token, so if you are interested, do get in touch through api [at] doyoupoken [dot] com
Concerning your wish to convert your contacts to address book contacts, there is actually the possibility to download all the contacts in your poken account to vCard. You can find the link in the 'Friends' section, in the blue bar next to your poken card.
