no autolaunch website after Poken insert
Website is not automatically launched when inserting Poken. I use Firefox 3.0.6 as default browser.
When I insert my Poken it is mapped as drive G. I need to go to "My computer" and double-click the G-drive. Only then the Poken website launches. Should it not auto-launch at insert? I use Windows XP MCE...

Inappropriate? It should auto-start if you have autorun enabled on your system...
Perhaps you got that turned off, eg for your cd/dvd drive... This setting may cause general disfunction of the autorun execution.
Another option might be, you chose some default action for when you insert *any* usb drive into your computer, e.g. the 'do nothing' option.
Just brainstorming here for a bit.. :) -
Inappropriate?Hi,
autorun for CD drives and autorun for removable devices are 2 different settings.
the first thing I tried was rightclicking my G-drive (=remove Poken USB drive) and selected properties > autorun. I tried several settings without any result.
my CD's autorun fine, but my Poken USB drive does not autorun.
somehow my computer is picky when it comes to autorun USB drives. some USB sticks trigger the autorun succesfully, some don't. I have played with my registry but without any result so far...
Once I found it I will post the result here...
One drawback: most people advise to disable the autorun on USB drives to prevent trojans infecting your system...
I’m OK

Inappropriate?Harrie, did you get anywhere, I have exactly the same issue. Not a big deal, but it would be so much better if autorun actually worked.
I’m perplexed

Inappropriate? Here on Fedora 11 does it also not work: Poken is mounted OK, but running autostart leads to the error that the needed program can not be found (in my case would it be Firefox)
I’m a bit confused...
