Account Password Change?
My school mail account requires that I change my password for my account every 6 months. I've had to change my password so now Postbox obviously can't get my mail but I also can't seem to figure out how to change my password in Postbox. Obviously Postbox isn't much use if I can't use it to check my email. Anyone know how to change incoming and outgoing mail server passwords without deleting the account and starting from scratch...

Inappropriate?are you using a gmail account jlbrew3?
After a failure to authenticate with your older password we should prompt you for a new one.
For now you can go to Preferences / Privacy / Show Passwords and remove the password for your mail account. If you restart Postbox you should be good to go. But I would be curious to figure out why Postbox wasn't re-prompting you for your password. -
I doesn't report an authentication failure at all. It seems to just give up on the account without prompting for a new password. -
Also, no "Preferences" appear on the main-menu or on the context menu off the account at the left panel. -
Tools --> Options --> Privacy --> Saved Passwords --> Passwords Saved --> [Select IMAP account AND its related SMTP account, remove them] --> Close --> Restart PB --> Specify the new password when prompted. -
Inappropriate?Did that last trick work for you Ivan? That's what I was going to suggest.

That last trick handled it, although I feel some trepidation about how clear I was about deleting the SMTP account, which I hope people understand is necessary for an SMTP with the same authentication (that's what I meant by "related") as the IMAP or POP account triggering the initial problem. Thanks!
