Fantastic address access from compose
Scott et. al.:
I might be wrong, but I think you changed the method of accessing contacts when composing an e-mail in b16. I think it's great. If you haven't changed it, then just consider this long overdue praise from me.
I think it's phenomenal that all of us are able to have direct interaction with the founder AND lead engineer. I didn't realize who Scott was until I read the "About" page. Keep up the great work with the product. I have no regrets about investing in this product. I know it will only get better.

Inappropriate?are you referring to the contacts sidebar in the compose window? or the ability to type a domain like postbox-inc.com in the to field to see a list of all recipients in that domain?
Not sure what else we did but I'll take credit for it anyway :)
Thanks again for the praise and supporting Postbox.
Looking forward to your feedback as you use Postbox more. -
Both, actually. Very slick. I did find an unexpected behavior, though, with the sidebar. It acts the same way in the compose window no matter how it's invoked. I submitted a red triangle on it. Found something else, too, related to the sidebar. It earns another red triangle. -
Inappropriate?actually, funny you mentioned that because one thing that bothers me when composing, is that I cannot access the content of a group and select individuals in this group.
Agreed, the contact side bar provides a list of all contacts, but it would be convenient to be able to select a subset of contacts within a group. For doing so you need to leave the editing window, go to the main one, open the contact windows, access the group and drag/drop the subset of contact into the To field for instance.
Another thing, it is not possible to add a button to access the adress book in the composing window (right click / customize, no address book button available). If it was possible, it would partially solve the problem.
I’m in need for more,

Interesting perspective on group functionality. Come to think of it, I don't know if any e-mail program I've used lets you pick individual addresses out of a group. It's probably something I never tried. However, when I had a "joke" group, when there were particular people I knew wouldn't appreciate a particular joke, I'd delete their names from the list of addresses that appeared in the "to" fields. Being able to select a subset of group members from the contact sidebar in the compose window would definitely be a very convenient feature and one that I'd use often. I also like the idea of being able to access the address book directly from the compose window, too, if for nothing else than added convenience.
I don't know if the development team picks up feature requests from comments in the "praise channel". Did you add your ideas to the "ideas channel"? It might make the difference between them being noticed or overlooked. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for the suggestion ImGumbyDammit. I will make a new post..
(As a side note, I think PostBox developers could learn a lot by looking at DreamMail regarding the Contact management. I already suggested few, but it seems they will stick with the outdated Thunderbird like contact management system. DreamMail allows one to select individuals in a group when composing a new mail).
I’m waiting
