All Mail folder reports unread message count incorrectly.
I have Postbox connected to two Gmail IMAP accounts. After sending or receiving email, the "All Mail" folder reports unread messages incorrectly. When I click on the folder, however, the unread count disappears.
My guess is that Postbox is seeing messages that have been archived or sent and reporting them unread, until the messages are actually loaded in a detailed view, at which point they're recognized and marked as read.

Inappropriate?this happens to me when I have used the "all mail" folder as my archive folder; it gets checked for new messages, and consequently all new messages in my inbox are also shown as new in the all mail folder.

Inappropriate? Is anyone at Postbox looking at this. It is highly annoying.
After I use PostBox to read a message in my Gmail imap Inbox, I then use PostBox's archive function to archive it to the All Mail Folder. As Alex notes, although the message is marked as read in the Inbox and gets archived out of the Inbox to the All Mail folder correctly, that same message in the All Mail box never changes its read status.
In addition to the All Mail box, this same thing happens with any tags that have been Gmail applied to the incoming message. The Folder for those tags *also* continues to show it as a new message after it has been read in the Inbox and archived to All Mail.
When I go online to Gmail, of course, this is not the case and the message in the All Mail location and in the Tag locations show the message as read.
It seems PostBox never/rarely updates the mail status in the Folders unless you actually click on them. That creates confusion and really gums up my workflow.
Please take a look at this.
Ideally, PostBox with imap
should reflect the same read/unread status as Gmail.

Inappropriate?Seems like this is specific to using all mail as an archive folder.
I'll go file a bug. Thanks guys! -
Inappropriate?Any updates on this? It is very annoying indeed, and if I can't stop it I might have to switch back to Thunderbird until it's fixed :(

Inappropriate?I used Gmail labs Advanced IMAP Controls to disable All mail folder syncing because I had the same issue, though I did not archive messages to all mail folder.
I’m relieved
