Automatic purge

Suggestion: It should be possible to mark any single message to be automatically deleted after a specific period or after a certain date. This would be very useful to prevent the message archive to become too big over a longer time.

The problem is the following: When e-mails come in I know that some e-mails could maybe be needed or be useful in the course of the next few months or maybe within a year (e.g. when doing a search), but will be useless and create a large amount of trash after that period and unnecessarily bloat up the message archive.

Postbox could do regular purge actions in the background when the computer is idle. Of course Postbox then would not search the entire message archive for messages to be purged at the actual date, but rather in this way: When the user marks a message to be automatically deleted after a spec. period then Postbox would create an entry in a purge-date list which is considerably faster to search than the whole message archive.

I would prefer that individual e-mails could be set to be automatically purged rather than creating purge-rules for the whole message archive or for folders.

This would be VERY useful!
