Blanking out topic field?

Under message filter, there is no option to "blank out" or "delete" a topic. I have several emails with topics that I don't want assigned anymore. It's a pain to go through each emails and change topics or blank it out. I can change to another topic that exist but I can't blank it out or set it to None. Am I missing something?
