Clicking the growl notification should open the mail in a new tab

When a new mail arrives and the growl notification is shown, I'm often in the middle of something else and being taken away from the current mail I'm reading by clicking on the growl notification is not always convenient. However, it would still be useful if I could click on the growl notification and have the new email opened in a new tab in the background, which I can easily switch to later on.
