Deleting an open message marks the next message as read
When I have a message opened in a tab and I click the Delete button in the toolbar, the message is deleted but the next message in the mailbox is selected and marked as read, as if I had opened it.

Inappropriate?Gordon, does this happen if you collapse your message preview pane below the message list?
You can also prevent messages from getting marked as read automatically by tweaking: Preferences / Advanced / General. -
Inappropriate?I already have the message preview pane collapsed.
-
Inappropriate? Thanks gordon I'll open up a bug for this issue.
-
Inappropriate?yeah, i'm seeing the same issue. i've tried adding a 3 second delay to marking messages as read and sure enough an unread selected message is marked as read automatically after deleting an opened message after 3 seconds, as if I had it open or previewed.

so in beta 14 if you double click a message to open it in a tab the delete button is disabled?
Are you running with any add-ons? -
The delete button is enabled but does nothing when clicked.
I don't have any add-ons installed. -
I've just discovered that when I've opened a message in a new tab and the Delete button does nothing, if I change window focus to another app and then back to Postbox, the Delete button will now work. -
Inappropriate?I can delete a message while it's open now since b16 but it still marks the next message in the list as read.
