Double unread count in dock icon
Dock icon is showing double the amount of actual unread messages in Beta 11. This wasn't an issue in Beta 10.
I have 5 unread messages, dock icon shows 10. if I read all the mail in the folder (or mark folder as read) and then leave the folder and go back to it the dock icon updates to the correct count (0). Otherwise after all mail is read it shows 1/2 the amount of unread mail in the dock icon as when it started.
reading a single messages decreases the unread count by 1 (as expected).

Inappropriate?I'm also seeing this among a number of Mac users who updated to b11. Counts starts out correct but change to double. Not sure what event provokes the update to double its value.
-
Inappropriate?Does this always happen to you mbond? Or when you restart it goes away and then comes back later?
-
restarting corrects the problem -
Inappropriate?Just a note that this is still an issue in Beta 12
-
Inappropriate? We've put together a test build in advance of the next public beta which includes a fix for this issue if you'd be interested in giving it a spin and letting us know.

Inappropriate? Now I am using beta 14 and the problem still persists.
See attached image. I have 5 new mails, which seem to show up as a count 5 on the Work account, which is correct. However, they show up as 10 on the Smart Folder (I don't know why), and 15 on the dock icon (presumably 5+10, which is also incorrect).

Inappropriate?I think the fact that the smart folder is called Inbox is confusing things since we add up the counts of all the inbox folders. Hence the double counting.
-
Inappropriate?maybe inappropriate, but how do I create such a "smart folder"? What does it do?
-
Inappropriate?Scott, isn't the Inbox smart folder created automatically? There doesn't appear to be a way of deleting it.
-
Inappropriate? That's not something Postbox created. Although looking into it some more I wonder if you were using tbird 3 beta and we picked that up during migration when we should not have?
-
I was using Apple Mail, and perhaps the Inbox smart folder was picked up from there during migration. -
Inappropriate?I was using TB3, so that might be it. I could try and delete the folder if it's not one of yours.
-
Inappropriate?I think that entire Smart Folders account is from tb3. I'll look into figuring out a way to not migrate that.
-
Inappropriate? So can I delete all of the folders in smart folders?
