Gmail IMAP delete moves items to trash, rather than 'deleting' to 'all mail'
In thunderbird, messages are deleted via the IMAP delete command, which gmail treats as a 'archive' command. In postbox, the messages are manually moved to the Trash folder.
While this makes sense for a POP account, It conflicts with the way I'm used to my deleted mail treatment.

Inappropriate?kamahl, you should be able to customize your delete behavior in Tools / Account Settings / <server> / Server Settings
</server> -
Inappropriate? To fix this, go to Tools -> Account Settings -> Server Settings (under the account you want to change), and select "Remove it immediately" under "When I delete a message:"
This should move messages to All Mail when they're deleted. HTH
