Gmail IMAP mail: where's the new mail?
I'm using Gmail IMAP but not getting new mail. Mail sends successfully but does not come in.

Inappropriate?Hi Raymie,
So your inbox is empty? Have we downloaded other folders for your imap account? I.e. do you see a sent folder, drafts folder, etc. in the folder pane when your imap account is selected?
And if you restart, does the problem persist?
Any chance you are focused by a favorite topic in the folder pane? Make sure your favorite topic is set to All. -
Inappropriate? It downloads the folders correctly, it's persisted for days, and I'm on the All favorite topic.
My inbox contains stuff from before 16 June 2009 (when I switched from Thunderbird) and when I used Mail.app.
I'm using Mac OS X 10.5.7. -
Inappropriate?Hi Raymie,
First, try right clicking your inbox choosing properties from the context menu and then rebuild index. Now try to get new mail.
If that doesn't do it, feel free to send me an IMAP log that captures postbox starting up and attempting to connect to your IMAP folder. Send the log to support@postbox-inc.com with a link to this getsatisfaction report.

Thanks!

Inappropriate? That's not working, but I don't know how to send an IMAP log.

Inappropriate? One hint (I stumbled over that myself some time ago): If you send a test email from yourself to yourself (from any of the email addresses you have configured in GMail), GMail WILL NOT put that mail into the inbox, but only into the GMail sent folder (or marked with the GMail Sent label, to be precise). So if we're talking about test mails, this might be the reason. If mails are shown correctly in the GMail web interface inbox, but not in Postbox, I don't know what's wrong.
