I can't fetch new emails anymore from Gmail/IMAP
Suddenly, I can no longer receive new messages from my Gmail account (IMAP). As for other Google Apps/IMAP accounts, I can receive new email but I can't delete them (hitting backspace does nothing). I've restarted Postbox several times and I can't see any relevant error log. I'm using the latest Beta9 on Mac OS X 10.5.6. Everything works fine in Mail.app with the same settings.

When you go to Tools / Error consoles are there any interesting errors after you try to check your inbox for new mail?
For your gmail inbox that can't get new mail, do you see any messages in the lower left hand corner of the main postbox window where we show status information?
I'd suggest trying the following:
right-click on the inbox choose properties then rebuild index.
Let me know if that frees up the account to get new mail again.

Rebuilding the index helped Postbox fetching new email messages again, but the delete button (whether by clicking on it or hitting backspace) is not working. I'm unable to delete messages on all my IMAP accounts (Gmail/Google Apps).

is the delete button enabled but just not functional?
I might have you make an imap log for me so I can see if we are even trying to issue the delete to the server.
It might also be interesting to see if you notice anyting in the sttus bar in the lower left hand corner when you try to delete. -

Inappropriate?I'd restarted Postbox a few times. I've actually restarted Mac OS X as well and nothing seemed to solve it. Suddenly, delete is working yet again.
Everything seems fine now, but it would be cool if you could trace this to make sure it doesn't happen in the final release :-)

Inappropriate?I figured out why delete isn't working and have a fix for the next update which will keep other users from running into this too. Thanks for being the guinea pig mlopes.

We're going to be pushing a new update soon and we put together an early test
build to help shake out any issues. Do you mind giving this test build a spin
to verify that this issue is fixed for you?

Unfortunately this problem happened again with 1.0b10. I had to restart Postbox. Delete simply stopped working.
