Here's a screenshot of Postbox, the latest release.
And here's a screenshot of the same email in Mail.app.

Inappropriate?Hmm, your screen shots didn't seem to make it through Jonathan.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the screen shots. If you go to View / Display Attachments Inline and uncheck that option does this work for you?
Also, care to invite me to a meeting with an invite that will generate this bug? :)
scott@postbox-inc.com.
Thanks! -
Inappropriate?I'm experiencing this same problem with Outlook meeting requests (whether or not view->"display attachments inline" is unchecked). There are really two issues I'm seeing:
1. The multipart/alternative isn't being correctly negotiated (even if view->"message body as" is specified to either HTML option I get the text/plain portion).
2. No calendar object is shown in attachments.
FWIW: Thunderbird doesn't have either of these issues (HTML is displayed and an ICS attachment is included).
I'm hoping to be able to use Postbox to get meeting requests into Sunbird without manually copying the information (the ability to send an accept/decline would simply be a bonus.)
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?I'm also having this problem...I think its when the invite comes from outlook/exchange.
scott: did you get a test email yet to debug?
I’m sad.

Inappropriate?the attachment is there if you view the message source:

Inappropriate? Not sure how all this fits in, but the problem I'm having in Beta 10, Mac 10.5.6 is: The invitation correctly displays in the inspector panel. I can double click it, and it correctly displays in iCal.
The message body in Postbox however, displays the invitation as message source. EG: BEGIN:VCALENDAR &c.
Hopefully an integrated calendar in Postbox isn't far off. With proper exchange support. Postbox is a great app, but using it as your main mail client is somewhat of a compromise at present. I accept however it's a beta :)
I’m ok

Inappropriate? Thanks Shane. Right now we were focusing on making tusre the ICS file always shows up as an attachment in the inspector bar in beta 10. Expect more enchancements for the ics file formatting in the message pane in future updates.
