I'd really like to control the font of emails.
This is one of my biggest Thunderbird issues and it continues with Postbox. There is no good way to define what font and size my outgoing mail is. If I set it to Arial Medium, it looks great in Postbox and big in Outlook. Set to Arial Small, it's tiny in Postbox and looks good in Outlook. There is no way for both to be happy.
I'd like to set all outgoing emails to be Arial 12 (or whatever I feel like) and ensure that is what shows up on the other end. Much like setting Arial 12 in a web page looks the same in Firefox, Safari, IE and the others.

Inappropriate?You might be able to tweak this by customizing your userChrome.css file in your profile directory.

Inappropriate?How does that effect outgoing mail? It's not my view that I'm concerned about, it's what the receiver sees. I know it's not 100% controllable, but there has to be something better. -
Inappropriate?oops sorry TwisterMc, I got your question confused with another common question for changing the message list font.
Try going to Preferences / Compose / General
and changing the font and font size for HTML mail. -
Inappropriate?That's where the issue is. The size options are general; small or medium. I want it to be 12px so that it's the same size across all email clients. Small varies based on email client.
