IMAP mail transmitted twice
IMAP messages are sent twice. Once the actual sending process, the second time to copy it to the Sent-Folder. This is especially annoying when sending large attachments. Why can't it be sent/copied to the Sent-Folder directly?

I have this problem, too!

The company thinks this is not a problem.

Inappropriate?Because two different servers are involved. The IMAP server is just responsible for storing your email. Sending of email is actually done via an SMTP server. The SMTP server usually knows nothing about your IMAP server or how to store your sent mail there.

Inappropriate?What Jurgen said :).
Not sure this is something a mail client can fix so I'm going to close this one out.
Thanks for the suggestion though EDL. -
Inappropriate?I see, although, if there is no communication between the two, then at least the saving to the IMAP should be handled in the background. The open mail window only gets closed when the message is sent AND saved. This should happen immediately after sending... - I've used Apple Mail before and I believe that's how it's been handled there (if the process is the same). I can't recall for sure because of the fact that the saving is handled completely transparent to the user. That's how I think this should work for PostBox as well.

Inappropriate?I agree EDL. We have some fixes in the pipeline to close the compose window right away and then send / copy to the sent folder in the background.

Inappropriate?Sounds great, thanks!
