Import .eml
I have saved e-mails from Thunderbird (using MailStore to back them up). It would be great if I could import all of those e-mails (.eml) into Postbox. For now I can use MailStore to read the backed up e-mails, but it's an extra step I would like to eliminate.
Other than that, I'm enjoying Postbox over Thunderbird because of the few extra features allowing me to see attachments, images, and links. It is also nicer looking.
I haven't yet run into a problem and I've imported/indexed thousands of e-mails.

Inappropriate?Alisha,
File / Open Saved Message
should allow you to open an .eml file from your desktop.
How do you currently read those backed up messages in Thunderbird? -
Inappropriate? They aren't in Thunderbird anymore, which is why I use MailStore to read them.
Opening hundreds of .eml files is very time consuming. Opening also doesn't import it that I can see; just opens. -
Inappropriate?I have the need to import eml files too.
In TB, I use this addon:
https://nic-nac-project.org/~kaosmos/...
and whit it I can import eml files into my mail folders.
I must say also that by simply opening eml files, sometime something get wrong and the file is not correctly displayed (I'm talking of TB); instead, if I import the file, all is ok.

Inappropriate?Yes an import eml function is required. I've got some additional emails I need to import (about 500). I can't do this one message at a time using the 'open' command

Inappropriate? If you are on Windows, try converting your EML files in a MBOX file with IMAPSize (http://www.broobles.com/imapsize/inde...) then copy back the resulting MBOX file to your Postbox mail folder in C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Application Data\Postbox\Profiles\yourdefaultprofile.default\Mail\youraccountname
