Junk mail does not get moved to the "Junk" folder.
My junk filter is working properly and is identifying spam but it doesn't move it to my "Junk" folder. In the Account Settings I have tried both of the "Move new junk messages to:" settings "Junk folder on:" & "Other:" and it wont move the junk mail to either of them.
My Preferences are set to move the message into the "Junk" folder when I manually mark it as Junk and this works fine. Its the messages that are automatically marked as Junk that don't leave my Inbox.

Inappropriate?I've been seeing this recently too on a couple of messages marked as junk but are left behind in my inbox. But most still get moved. How about for you?

I just did a little test and it looks like 1 message got moved to my Junk folder, but 5 others did not. Weird... -
Inappropriate?Nope, it seems as if most/all of my junk messages stay in my Inbox. Until I select them and hit the 'J' button, anyway. :/

Inappropriate?I have the same issue. It's intermittent and unpredictable. The message knows it's junk but is sitting in my inbox.
It's only 3 or 4 messages a day.

Inappropriate?I filed a bug on this to see if we can track it down. Thanks guys!

Inappropriate?I finally figured out what was going on. This will be fixed in the next release.
Thanks for the good bug report Richard.

Inappropriate?WooT!! That would be a major help to me. This junk mail garbage in my Inbox is really driving me wild.
I’m happy

Inappropriate? It appears as if Junk messages now make their way to the Junk folder properly and don't clutter up my Inbox. At least the few messages I've had today did.
I’m thankful

Inappropriate? Thanks for verifying the fix Richard. It's always hepful to get that feedback!

Inappropriate?I'm using beta 11. Basically the same problem. I have done more than enough training, but I still get an inbox absolutely teeming with spam. Running the spam routine on the folder doesn't remove it.
This is a deal-breaker for me. Apple Mail with Spamsieve works well, easily and reliably.
I can check the spam folder easily to catch any mails which were spammed incorrectly. I seldom have to do more than that.
The spam filtering part of Postbox appears to me to be broken, and functionality I would expect to be there, isn't
Even with the shortcut J, it's a long job to identify each piece of spam individually. I expect 90% of that to happen automatically.
A pity, because Postbox has some very good ideas
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi greiggy if you are using POP3, messages aren't getting marked and moved to the junk folder in beta 11. This is a regression we spotted here right after the release. The fix for it will be in the next update if you hang with us a bit until it's released.
If you are using IMAP, keep in mind a well trained filter needs both good and bad messages. Here's a link with some tips for tbird that also apply to Postbox : http://kb.mozillazine.org/Junk_Mail_C....
Thanks!

Inappropriate?I'm using a mixture of 2 IMAP accounts and one POP3 -- the latter is an address I've held for about 15 years so it is heavily spammed.
Thanks for recognising the problem and I look forward to beta12
I’m confident
