Inappropriate?Hi Vincent,
I'm not sure about the unmarking part - better wait for someone else to reply, but as for your problem of junk moving after a while:
Go to Tools > Options > Privacy. Under "Junk" select "When I mark messages as junk...Move them to the account's junk folder".
That worked for me - the spam started disappearing from my inbox instantly after I marked it as junk. -
I have done that. If you look closely you'll see that although they do disappear instantly, they appear in the spam box only after a while -
Inappropriate?Hi Vincent we currently don't support the ability to have messages you "unjunk" getting moved back out of the spam folder but it's something we might support in the future.

Inappropriate? The catch, though, is what *DO* you do with it?
Does it go back to the Inbox? Or into your Archive? Or a special "Not Junk" folder, so you can (perhaps) train the spam filters on your server?
I guess _a_ solution would be to add a Preference, similar to the "Move new junk messages to: ... Other" dialog, and corresponding "spamActionTargetFolder" settings.
On the other hand, some "Not Junk" I want to go ahead and delete anyway (mailing lists, e.g., where I don't care about the message, but I don't want it to affect my spam-scoring, either) and some is actually worth re-filing. At least the way it is now, I can sort individual messages appropriately... *Shrug*
Just thinking out loud... :-) I agree with Vincent, though, that this could be a "nice-to-have" feature. -
Inappropriate? The whole problem is that when you choose to add a "gmail account" at the account setup you expect all your actions to translate 1-to-1 to the actions you are used to from the web ui (and the behavior).
Add to that that the majority uses postbox as an imap client for gmail.
So, my idea is that there should be some kind of comparative table that informs the user how its actions are translated. And of course that you should try to recreate the behavior of the webmail.
