password not working
I've been using Postbox for a couple of weeks on two accounts. It has worked fine, although it is a bit slow. Today I cannot access my gmail imap account. Postbox keeps asking for a password, which I enter, and I even check the box to save the password in password manager. But the imap access fails. When I looked in the prefs for the password, there is no saved password for gmail imap, only for gmail smtp. There are imap and smtp passwords for my other account. I have quit and restarted Postbox, no help. Suggestions welcomed.

Inappropriate?What error do you get when you type in your password and hit enter? do you see anything in the status bar in the lower left hand corner after you enter your password?
In the past this issue for gmail has always been a google captcha being locked issue. I'm surprised that didn't fix it.
If the error doesn't shed any light for us we'll turn on imap logging:

A third (or fourth) restart got following the captcha reset seems to have unlocked it. I had closed Postbox today, then re-opened to try your latest suggestions, and it downloaded normally. Thanks. I'll hang on to the gmail link. Will this be addressed in a future version? -
Inappropriate?I experienced a similar problem with the 3 gmail accounts that are imap, after 3-4 attempts of re-entering the password and restarting Postbox fixes itself. This happens periodically once every couple of weeks, it's hard to reproduce or pin down. But I'm confident it's a Postbox issue as I've used Mail.app and Thunderbird a lot in the past and they never had this problem.
