password not working

I've been using Postbox for a couple of weeks on two accounts. It has worked fine, although it is a bit slow. Today I cannot access my gmail imap account. Postbox keeps asking for a password, which I enter, and I even check the box to save the password in password manager. But the imap access fails. When I looked in the prefs for the password, there is no saved password for gmail imap, only for gmail smtp. There are imap and smtp passwords for my other account. I have quit and restarted Postbox, no help. Suggestions welcomed.

Thanks. I like Postbox other than the slowness and this issue.
