pasting an image in the message body
I often compose an email pasting a little graphic (screenshot or graphic element) in the message body but it seems that this is not possible in PB. I've tried to drag an image from the desktop inside the message body and it works but if I copy an image I'm not able to paste it inside.
It's a planned feature or a beta bug?

Inappropriate?I'm able to copy and paste images from the clipboard on Windows into an HTML composition windows. What platform are you on and are you in HTML compose?
-
Inappropriate? Thanks Scott. Here in office we've some Mac and PC. My brother has installed postbox on his iMac 20" with Leopard and MacBook Pro 15" with leopard and the copy/paste function works.
I've installed PB on my iMac 24" with Leopard and there's no way to make the copy/paste function work. I copy and image or part of it go into a new message but when I select Paste or make cmd-v nothing happen.
All the Leopard Mac OS X versions are the same. I've also tried to delete the preferences with no luck. Sincerely I really don't know where to look and what to do... -
Inappropriate?I'm on MacBook with Leopard and copy/paste of images works fine.
I use Jing.app to take snapshots and instead of saving them I usually copy and paste directly into my mail... So far it works...
I’m happy

Inappropriate?I use cmd-shift-4 to take selection snapshot on my imac. Problem is to find why copy/paste don't work for me and work instead on two other Mac we've here. Maybe I've to uninstall Postbox and reinstall it from scratch?
-
Inappropriate?Just to be more precise.
If I copy an image in any way, I paste it in Preview (on Macintosh), select it, copy it again and paste it inside PB it works.
If I copy a selection from Photoshop, for example, or make a selection using cmd-shift-4 and try to paste it in PB, does not work.
Practically If I copy from Preview it works, in any other way does not.
Note that I've checked and in any case the image is in the clipboard. -
Inappropriate?Tried the beta 12 and the paste problem persist. If I copy from Photoshop or from any other sources and I try to paste inside the message body, I got no results but If I paste in Preview, copy from preview and paste in the message body, the image appear.
Do you think that is a problem of mine or a PB bug?
I’m waiting

Inappropriate?I thought cmd-shift-4 on the mac copies the image to the desktop and doesn't put it in the clipboard.
For your Photoshop issue, can you tell what image format the image is on the clipboard? Maybe it isnt something we can handle. -
correct, cmd+shft+4 copies the selection to an image on your desktop. nothing goes to your buffer.
All of the screenshot functions on mac (cmd+shft+3 & 4) copy straight to a file on the desktop. -
Inappropriate?I've explained myself not clearly. I use cmd-shift-4, select the area I'm interested in keeping pressed the ctrl-key and the selection is copied in the clipboard.
It's not a Photoshop issue. What I mean is that every thing copied, no matter how, it's not pasted in Postbox directly but if I paste it in Preview, copy it and paste it in Postbox, it works...

Inappropriate?same problem, copy and paste of images doesn't work
-
Inappropriate?Same issue here. Very annoying too because pasting images from the clipboard works in every other email program I've used. I hope this gets resolved because as a designer I use this features dozens of times a day and the time it costs me really adds up. It's either a bug or an overlooked feature. Any word on if this will be fixed?

Inappropriate?this works for me in Postbox 1.1 on Mac OS 10.5.
using ctrl after selecting the image, the image is on my clipboard and then cmd-v pastes it into my compose window.
Can you make sure you are using 1.1? -
Inappropriate?Doesn't work for me. I have Postbox 1.1, but I have a Mac OSX 10.4. I'm almost certain this worked before I upgraded to 1.1. I would love to upgrade to the latest OS but unfortunately I don't have an Intel based Mac. I still love Postbox though.
