Pick Email Recipients from a Contact List
When sending email to multiple contacts in my address book, I don't see any way to 'pick from a list.' For each intended recipient, I have to know their name.
In Outlook/Windows Live Mail, I can call up a list of contacts and check/select each one I want to send to, and whether they're a To:, Cc: or Bcc. I'd really recommend using a similar approach in Postbox.

try clicking on the contacts icon in the compose sidebar to see a contact list which you can search/drag/double click to add to the message.

Sadly, this fails the 'discoverability' test, in my humble opinion. I was unable to discover this on my own. I have been using computers for 30 years now, Windows for 20, and lately it seems like many software developers -- especially Microsoft -- are abandoning many user interface conventions. Menu accelerators are hidden -- sometimes the menus themselves are hidden! Buttons look like pictures, not buttons... etc .etc.
In this case I had examined all menus. Nowhere did I find any 'pick contacts from your address book' type of entry. I saw no buttons in the addressee section that looked relevant. The button you mention doesn't even look like a button - so it didn't even register to me. It was 'not easily discoverable.'
IMHO every function that is available to a user on any given screen should *at least* be available in a menu.
I am at least glad this functionality does exist, and now I know to explore those buttons on the right. Thanks.

Inappropriate?your right we should have menu items for getting into the sidebar. I opened a bug for this to track it for a future update.

Inappropriate?Scott, I'm trying to send to multiple contacts and I'm coming from the account-specific contacts window. There doesn't appear to be any way for me to select a hundred or so and then create a message to them.
Selecting contacts from the new message window doesn't allow me to filter by account.

you can also create a mailing list from within the address book, dragging in the cards you want to the mailing list.
