Postbox MOVES email messages from web accounts!! Bad!
I setup Postbox to read email from my Yahoo account and I am furious that ALL of my web email was MOVED to my local Postbox client. I now can ONLY access my Yahoo email on the single machine with the Postbox client. You need to warn people that the client will move email messages not copy or synch them. I am really upset about this!!!!

Inappropriate?Sorry to hear about your problem Chris,
Did you use the Yahoo Plus! account configuration tool?
Postbox deafauts yahoo to "leave on Server" when the account is created through the Yahoo Plus! option in the account wizard.
If you go to Tools / Account Settings / <your>

That's checked by default for me when I create a Yahoo Plus! mail account via the Postbox account wizard.</your> -
Thanks Scott. You might consider rethinking the initial user experience. When I installed Postbox it prompted me for my Yahoo account credentials and, once entered, started the message import process. I wasn't presented with the account wizard you mentioned above, although I am now able to see it and modify the settings. One troublesome UI issue for you to look at is the fact that "Leave messages on server" is selected by default (good) but neither of the suboptions are set ("For at most x days" or "Until I delete them"). Postbox ignores the high-level "Leave messages on server" option if one of the suboptions is not set. This doesn't seem right. -
Inappropriate?Chris, it sounds like Postbox already knew about your yahoo settings since it never got a chance to set up your account. That makes me think you migrated settings from another client (Thunderbird, eudora, outlook express?). In which case we would have picked up the default settings from that client.
Could that have been what happened? -
Inappropriate?while setting up the 1st account to test the client I didn't input the password so later I did check the pop3 setting finding it set as in the image above (I've set up a Gmail account ..)
