Remove Promote Icon
How do i get the promote icon off the toolbar. Dragging off does not do it.

Inappropriate?Right click on the toolbar and select "Customize Toolbar". From there, you should be able to add or remove toolbar buttons.

Inappropriate?What platform are you running? Mac, Windows XP, or Windows Vista?
Also, try this... When you click on the Promote button to attempt to drag it off, try clicking twice. I think there could be a bug that requires that the user to first click on the icon, then subsequently click and drag.
One more question... does removing other buttons work? -
Inappropriate?I can't seem to remove any buttons on Windows Vista. I can clcik on it and drag it around, but there is no where that I can drag it to that makes it disappear.

gpzbc, what Version of Postbox You are using; V1.0b8 ? In this Version there are some problems with 'customizing the toolbar' (search for this topic's). In V1.0b7 it was working for me (WinXP).

Inappropriate?The solution to removing icons seems to be simple but obscure: it is necessary to double click the icon before dragging it off the toolbar.

We're going to be pushing a new update to take in the latest Mozilla security fixes (gecko 1.9.0.7) shortly and we're going to take advantage of that opportunity to also fix some of the bugs our testers found with b8 including this one.

Inappropriate?The customize toolbar is working but there seems to be another related bug.
With the update to the new version, I was able to add a "back" and "forward" button to the toolbar. And I love it. Thank you.
Unfortunately, the back and forward arrows in the icons point the wrong direction. The back arrow points to the right and the forward arrow points to the left.

Inappropriate?Hmmm... Back and forward work just fine for me despite the fact that they are directionally disoriented.
