RSS Improvements
I know. I keep saying "Make it just a mail client" ...
... But, if it has to have RSS integration ... please make it not suck.
There are 3 things that would bring Postbox full circle for me as an RSS reader.
PART 1: Folders and Groupings
Take a look at NetNewsWire, easily the best RSS reader out there (IMO). One of the things that I like about it is that it manages my 75~ish subscriptions well. It lets me great folders, and then put RSS feeds into that folder. When you click that folder it shows you all the new messages that are in that folder. If you want to see older rss items you have to drill down through your folder hierarchy and find the actual feed.
This works great, because, you can put all the "tech" feeds together and all the "life hacker" feeds together, etc ... Makes it more topical. It also displays which feed it is from in a very e-mail like way.
Right now, in post box, there is no way to group feeds together (i tried creating folders). Also, you can't view ALL the new messages from the all your feeds.
PART 2: Syncing
Someone asked for syncing with Google RSS ... that would work. but some syncing would need to be done for those of us that use multiple computers. Google's feed reader would take the hosting off your hands. Using MobileMe would be another option (for Mac Users).
PART 3:
Topics ... without being able to mark topics, it would be pointless to switch from netnewswire. Topics seem to work now, but those would have to sync as well ... not sure how you'd handle that.

Inappropriate?Part 3-B:
I see more and more people checking their RSS feeds on their iPhones and other portable devices. Syncing is absolutely essential so that feeds read on the computer are not new on the mobile device and the other way around.
NetNewsWire does this using their newsgator servers. There are lots of Google Reader options for the iPhone, so syncing to googles servers makes the most sense here. If you are planning on doing it as a service based thing, you would have to write an iphone application before it would be useful.
