Search results in duplicates with Gmail Imap
I use gmail with imap. it automatically translates the labels into directories (which in itself is a problem).
In addition to that, i get 3 Gmail directories:
Gmail
- All Mail
- Starred
Whenever i search for something, i get duplicates because my email shows up in a label/directory and in All Mail.
That is honestly annoying since i see twice as many emails as i actually have

I have this problem, too!
Tell me when someone solves it.

Inappropriate?Hmm, we should be filtering out messages with the same message id to avoid showing you duplicates. I'll open a new bug if I can reproduce this.
Thanks Thomas!

Scott - were you able to reproduce this? I am using 1.0 and still having this issue. -
Inappropriate?Franco, using 1.0.1 and i still have the same problem

Inappropriate?1.0.1 Same problem here. In fact, even with no labels applied, I see two of each searched message, both listed as being in All Mail.
If I have a label, then it shows twice as noted above, once as located in the label 'folder', once as in the All Mail 'folder'. -
I believe the later is correct for gmail. But seeing the two messages both listed in the all mail folder seems wrong. If you just visually scan through your all mail folder for the same message (not in a search) is it listed there twice too? -
Yes, it does seem wrong.
It lists the e-mail twice in the search listing (both showing a 'location' of All Mail), but only once in the normal message listing of All Mail, and on the web browser Gmail version, i.e., it's not a duplicate e-mail in gmail.
I have some screenshots of this, but this sub-comment block apparently doesn't allow images.
