Sent Folder not populating emails
Using mobileme and I cant see my sent emails. I sent a test mail and found that a new folder appeared with a copy of the test email. However no other sent emails are showing. I have around 600 sent emails in the sent folder in mobileme. How do I get these across?

Inappropriate?Andy, can you make sure you don't have a favorite topic selected in the folder pane on the left hand side?
mobile me should be using IMAP so the sent messages should be available in both your device and in Postbox. My initial gut reaction is to say you have two sent folders with different names and Postbox is only marking one of them up as a Sent Folder. If you click on the Mail Folders container in the folder pane for your mobile me account do you see any other folders listed there that could have these sent messages in them?

Hi Scott - okay, favourite topics marker All. I checked mail folders and there was no sent mailbox. Checked mobile me folders and there was a sent mailbox there with a copy of the test mail that I sent. I deleted that sent mailbox both from mobileme and Mail, and deleted Postbox and associated files and reinstalled. I now have in the folders section: inbox, deleted messages and mail folders with no sent mailbox. This was how it was when I first installed PB. So, if I change the section in account settings to Place a copy in the first option "sent" folder on Mobileme will it send a copy to the default sent mailbox? -
Inappropriate?Andy, it sounds like it should do the right thing with your current set up the next time you send a message, we should automatically create the Sent folder. Or if you use another mail client like mail.app, it should be creating the sent folder and Postbox should discover that folder the next time Postbox start ups.
Let me know if it's still not working right for you.

Inappropriate?Yes - that's the problem, it doesn't discover the sent folder with all the sent messages stored. I don't want a new sent folder set up as it will only store sent messages from the date that I send a message. I would have thought that it should also show the sent folder (under folders) similar to what is found under mailboxes in the Mail app.

Inappropriate?great!

Inappropriate?Hi Chip, I deleted the programme and associated folders (look in user/library/application support), deleted the additional sent folder in mobileme and reinstalled. After that the problem seemed to sort itself out.

Inappropriate?Excellent. Thanks!

Inappropriate? Not sure if this is the same or a related issue, but when I send messages using Postbox itself, not another client, they don't show up in the Sent folder, even though they are received by the recipient.
Only one of my sent messages is in there, but I've sent a lot more than one. I haven't changed the settings since that message, so I'm not sure what's causing it.
If this is unrelated, please let me know, I'll create a new question/problem thing instead. -
Inappropriate? To be clear what was occurring for me --- Postbox created its own "Sent" folder in my IMAP account (mobile me in this case). So when I looked in my original sent items I wouldn't see the messages. Then I noticed the other "Sent" items and there they were.
Also something to check: if you set your preferences to save your sent items in your Local Folders, you have to change accounts by clicking "Local Folders" in the Accounts pane in the upper left corner of the window. There would be a Sent folder in your local folders list if that's the case.
