Specify Archive folder on different server or local folder
I love Postbox's design, and the UI is fantastic! One issue for me: the Archive folder currently has to be on the same email server as the INBOX. For me, this is a deal-breaker: I receive email on my corporate IMAP, but archive email to my local IMAP when finished with it (avoids quota issues, among other things). Is there a way to set the location of the Archive folder to a folder on a different account?

Inappropriate? Not currently, but it's a great idea! I'll file an enhancement request.

Inappropriate?I'll second this. I will quickly flood my server quota if I start archiving non-locally.

Inappropriate?Bump! Can't help but notice this didn't make it into Beta 8. Beta 9, perhaps? Pretty please?

Inappropriate?Yes, we need this! For now, I'm going to have to run two archive folders, and occasionally move the contents of one to the other. Messy.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Lots of us have email server quotas, so we can't keep the archive folder on the same folder as the inbox without doing a lot of manual processing to keep the size down. It doesn't seem like it would be hard to allow us to designate *any* folder on *any* account as the archive folder, which would give me a lot more flexibility for archiving emails (transfer archived emails to a Gmail account with a larger quota, e.g., or transfer them to my home IMAP server for better backups!).
Pretty please?

Inappropriate? All my accounts are IMAP. Why can't I define a LOCAL folder as destination for all Archives?
-I cannot create folders under local folders
-I can only select a remote imap folder for each account as archive

Inappropriate?I am using the local folders to manage my mails i would like to archive my older mails on a different drive (network drive, external drive), in this case it would be nice to have the possibility to select a different location for the archive. For the moment it makes no difference between sorting the mails in the local folder or put them into an archive, all is in the same location.
Would be nice to get this feature

Inappropriate?Hi everyone,
We've put together a test build for the next Postbox update which includes a fix for this issue. You can now configure the archive folder to be a local folder or a folder on any server for that matter.
Please let us know how this works for you:
