Switching between Postbox and Thunderbird as needed
Does Postbox work off the Thunderbird mail files, or does it duplicate the files when it's importing TBs settings?
I'm interested in Postbox, but I'd like to go back to thunderbird if necessary. I have set postbox to not delete messages on the server (pop mail).

Inappropriate?Hi Nemof,
We use the same format but we import the files into Postbox so we have our own copy and we modify that copy.
As long as your POP accounts are set to leave mail on the server you should be able to switch between both products and the same messages would get downloaded into both.
Thanks for trying Postbox!

Inappropriate?Scott, does your answer mean that you can point Postbox to a Thunderbird mail store as long as you don't plan to access that store with Thunderbird again? Also, if one can point Postbox to another mail store, will Postbox modify the existing mail store (if it needs to) or must the program import e-mails in order to perform its modifications?
Thanks.
I’m curious and hopeful.
