Test Build For Postbox 1.0.2 Now Available
Hi Get Satisfaction Testers,
We have a test build for the next Postbox release that addresses several issues that you helped identify. This is only a test build and not the final release, so we ask that you please do not blog or Twitter about it at this time. If everything looks okay with the test builds, we'll release the new update in a few days.
Here are the download URLs:
Mac OS X
Windows
We'll start following up in the various topics with all the fixes that were included in this build but here are some key areas to look at.

- Stability Improvements - based on the data you've been sending in we've made a bunch of stability improvements to Postbox 1.0.2. Please keep that data coming!
And for our Mac Users:
- Improved Mac Badge - the badge in the dock that indicates how many unread messages you have now uses the standard Mac OS X visualization.
- Mail.app Migration Improvements - when migrating from Mail.app we handle local folders stored on your mac.

Inappropriate?ThunderBrowse works fine still (as that's no surprise anyways). Postbox applied the new default settings a-ok.
-
Inappropriate?Will give it a whirl.

Inappropriate?Word wrap doesn't seem to work - I got one of my received messages horizontal scrollbar and that is not what I want - also in Show Conversation view there isn't this scrollabar but message doesn't show 100% (You can scroll with arrow keys still)
Message type is:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="Windows-1252"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
Or did I miss some option?
I’m confused

Here is screen capture which shows what I mean - I don't see entire message and I must scroll:

Inappropriate?I just noted that when you drag an IMAP email to whatever folder in Local Folders (pop3 accounts) you lose his Account info.
Old account info: imap_name
New account info: Local Folders -
remin,
I've started a bug on it to investigate this issue. (I don't think that is a new issue.)
Note that in Postbox Beta 16, we made it so editing a message no longer strips the Account Info. See
http://getsatisfaction.com/postbox/to...
This might be a similar issue.

Inappropriate?I get the same thing I saw awhile back in another thread. When I uninstalled the old version and tried 1.0.2 and chose to import Apple Mail, I first get the box asking for an account password dropping down and back up in a couple of nanoseconds. Then a box for a Cox account I can fill in. Finally a box for a second Cox account that freezes and doesn't respond to a button click. Ergo, Postbox still isn't close to working for me. Maybe on the Windows side.
I’m frustrated
-
this is a known issue we're still working on fixing. you need to close out the password dialogs using cmd-w (or cmd -q?) until they are all closed then log into each account individually using remember password. You shouldn't see it again the next time you start up. -
Inappropriate?Still doesn't work. Postbox is looking for the On My Mac folders in the wrong place. Send an Email to the address you used before (lost yours) and I'll sent you a screenshot.

interesting. on my computer, "on my mac" isn't an actual folder on disk. Everything under Mail\Mailboxes is listed in mail.app under "on my mac". -
Inappropriate?Uh, yes. It's been that way in Apple Mail since the beginning. That means it's saved locally from a POP account. It's just a matter of finding the path to where those .mbox messages reside. I think you folks have a lot more work to do on this. I'll be looking forward to my functional, free copy at the end.
