Threading broken by Microsoft exchange?

I've been emailing with someone who uses Microsoft Exchange. For whatever reason, Postbox refuses to put his emails together in a thread -- it thinks each one is separate.

I've looked at the mail headers and noticed that each message has a different "thread index". Perhaps this is the reason (and perhaps not), but other mail clients like Gmail and Mail.app don't have this problem and thread the messages correctly.
