Unable to get new message from Gmail
I get the following error:
"The RETR command did not succeed. Error retrieving a message. Mail server pop.gmail.com responded: Temporary system problem. Please try again later."
I checked the Account configuration. It is right. I am able to send emails. But I can't download new messages.

Inappropriate?sounds like gmail might be experiencing a temporary outtage. Can you try it again now Jagesh?

Inappropriate?I'm having the same problem. My Thunderbird gives me the exact same error. I'm using Thunderbird 2.0.0.23

You might want to try asking in a thunderbird support forum. This is for Postbox.

I'd also add the error message looks like a temporary thing. Could be having a short server outtage?
