What is the difference (or why is there a difference) between Address book and Contacts?
Currently there is a contact tab, where contacts appear which are collected from different email accounts, and Facebook if one choses to log in for it, but I also see that In the Tools menu there is an Address Book.
This address book does not have the same information that the Contacts tab has.
Shouldn't these two things just be consolidated into one addressbook/contactsbook which shows all of them, as opposed to having two things with different names doing essentially the same thing?
if its a matter of keeping collected email addresses from facebook seperate from addresses from actual email contacts; it could just be consolidated and simplified by having a checkbox to show or hide Facebook contacts, or it could be split into two tabs, and so on.

Inappropriate?Another thing I have noticed which is rather bothersome with regards to the adddress book/contacts is the following:
For some reason when Im composing a new email and typing a persons name in the "To" field it will only load 1 of the desired addresses. Apparently one was in "Contacts", and one was in the "Address book", and it will not load from both of these. Again, very unlogical and quite frankly, makes for a bad user experience.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi Paul,
We're still exploring the 'Contacts' tab. But it is not related to your address book at all. It's powered by searching over your mail content. So you can quickly see all of the contacts you are communicating with over a given topic or a piece of search text like "winter 2009 presentation".....

Inappropriate?thanks for the response Scott. I do have to say that so far, I have found the Contacts tab far more useful in finding e-mail addresses than the address book, or typing into the "To:" field.
I would advise you to consolidate them into a single searchable collection of addresses.
I’m confident

Inappropriate?Yeah we were finding the same thing. The data mined from your e-mail tends to be richer...
