Postrank sez there's nothin' in this feed http://www.securitybloggers.net/feed/ but there appears to have been plenty there for days.

Inappropriate?whatever, I just looked at the RSS feed for "great" on this and there were items in there, the results page on postrank just said there were no items.

Inappropriate? There's a bit of a delay (< 5 mins) when new feeds are added to the system before the posts show up. Is everything working ok now?
Sounds like we need a better message for this.

Inappropriate? As Andrew said there is a staged process for discovering feeds. Once the feed url has been registered its queued to add items to the index, this can take a few minutes depending on the depth of the feed update work queue.
I see items in the feed now, up to the post "Bring Back the Attack to the API
2008-Nov-24". it looks like there was a bunch added since ~7:00am when we last checked. The new ones will be added when we next update the feed.
This mechanism will be revamped shortly to respond to ping updaqtes. That will drastically reduce update latency. We've been in the process of "inverting" all of the other polling style process in o n the metrics gathering side - where possible - and are set to look at feed updates.
Once the feed update service is deployed how would this improve user experience from there?
I’m curious
