Aggregator impact - spot, make use of, count comments, ...
Uneasy thing, but maybe worth some consideration
I am not sure how does it look like on English blogs, but here in Poland it turns out that peple frequently comment more on aggregators (a few digg-like voting + comments sites) than on the actual blogs. Do you think - is it possible to start paying attention to such an effect too?
Related problem: the same post frequently appears in a few feeds (own feed and a few "planet" feeds). Would be nice if the post was identified as the same in such a case.

Inappropriate?Comments counts are 1 of many factors that effect PostRank. The others are from sites like you mention. Though there is a North American bias to of our data - Digg, Delicious, Twitter etc.
What Polish sites are the most popular?
If they have APIs we will investigate them and potentially add them. -

By sheer numbers wykop.pl
I don't quite like the way it evolves (recent most popular links are all funny, sexy or scandalistic stories), but still they have the big traffic and icons on most Polish blogs.
Much smaller site (restricted to technical content), but interestingly growing among geeky users like myself is osnews.pl
blip.pl and flaker.pl are both growing as microblogging platforms (twitter clones to a degree)
If you specify which kind of API you need, I may check the site's docs.
