AideRSS + Google Reader : New Posts Issue
Hi AideRSS team,
First, thank you for this great tooln it's an impressive work you've done!
However, I have a concern about AideRSS in Google Reader. WHen I sort by post rank, the newer post don't have a good enough rank to appear on the list, but might reach a better rank in the future. So this isn't really relevant, isn't it? I mean, I use to "mark all as read" when I'm done with my feeds - when I sort by rank, I can't, or I could miss some new posts that don't have a good rank yet, but might become important in the future.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to me,
Vincent

Inappropriate? That's actually working how it's supposed to. Because PostRank scores are based on the engagement with an article, people's reaction to it -- diggs, comments, bookmarks, etc. -- it takes some time after an article is published before people do those things, so it takes time for an article to develop its PostRank score.
We've had requests to implement predictive ranking so that new posts get higher PostRanks sooner, but we've had as many requests to stick to hard data and not implement that.
For the time being our service isn't a great fit for people who read their posts fairly early or quite often. What you can do if you read them early is set the filter to "All" to get the new stuff, and then set it back to a higher filter, since then posts would still appear as read even once their PostRanks went up high enough so the articles were displayed.
I’m satisfied
