Inappropriate? The AideRSS Firefox Extension has a dependency on GreaseMonkey which currently isn't supported in Firefox 3 beta.

Inappropriate?Turns out if you disable addon version checking, it will work in FireFox 3. We'll be providing an updated version to make this less painful soon
Thanks to Mike Gunderloy for the tip.
I’m happy

Inappropriate?AideRSS/Google Reader isn't working under Firefox 3 beta 5 using either the addon or GreaseMonkey script. In either configuration, I see the "All/Good/Great/Best" dropdown but no PostRanks next to the posts. Works fine for me using Firefox 2.0.0.13. Any idea what's going on?
I’m frustrated

I have the same result with FF3 RC1 in Google Reader and AidRSS activated as addon. -
Hi Adam - We've got a beta of the FireFox extension that should work with FF3 (fixed the broken Greasemonkey dependency issue). If you're still a FF3 user, would you like to do some beta testing on it for us? -
Inappropriate? Are you selecting an individual feed?
-
Inappropriate?Yes, this happens when selecting individual feeds.
-
Inappropriate? We'll be releasing an update which fixed a few issues, we'll post here when the update is released.

Inappropriate?hello,
My invite key is refused when I try to enter it from Google Reader (https).
I use FF 3ß on Mac (leopard) and grease monnkey and its script.
When I try by using the firefox extension I see the little menu list and... that's all.
Why my invite key (from url extension inside invite e-mail) is refused ? -

Sure I want !
Where can I download it ? -
Download link is here: http://blog.aiderss.com/firefox-3-ext... - thanks for the help! -
Inappropriate? This thread sounds more related to my problem than my comments regarding greasemonkey on that other thread.
Boy does this require some patience. I suppose I am just going to have to wait.
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?FF3b5 w/o greaseMonkey running under vistaUltimate. Like adamjkane, I have the selector, but no post ranking.
While I'm waiting, is there anything I can do to help other than reading everything I can find about aideRSS?

Inappropriate?Firefox 3 is not supported. It does not work. AideRSS will install on Firefox 3 but it will screw up Google Reader and AideRSS will not work. You will see the drop-down menu but it will not do anything.

If you get stuck, make sure you uninstall the extension AND the script from inside greasemonkey.
Again, Firefox 3 is not supported and you will experience problems. Trust me, wait until it is ported officially.
BTW, if anyone has managed to get AideRSS to work in Firefox 3 beta 5 leave a comment here so I can experience that miracle.
I’m unconcerned

The beta download link says:

Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here. -
Glad you think so. We like it, too. :) -
Inappropriate?Testing the Beta 1.4 with FF3 final version: It works just fine, but unfortunately it seems that the extension disables the "Manage User Scripts" at Greasemonkey latest version (0.8.20080609.0).
I’m concerned
-
Thanks for the heads up. When our FF extension guru is in early next week, I'll have him fix it and will let you know when it should be working right again. -
I'm told the .xpi might do that, but the .js Greasemonkey script can't. If you'd like to try swapping them, there's a new beta up now: http://blog.aiderss.com/firefox-3-ext... -

Nope! I can not install using FF 3.0.3 :( -
Inappropriate?I tried to install AideRSS for Google Reader in Firefox 3, yet the browser says the add-on is incompatible with Firefox 3.0.3. I tried again after installing GreaseMonkey. It's all the same. Can someone help?
By the way why don't you guys launch a killer RSS reader of your own?
I’m in the "can get no satisfaction" mood.

One of the devs has just uploaded a new version of the extension. It should work now with Firefox 3.0.3 both with Greasemonkey and without.
