PostRank not showing correct titles
Just installed PostRank plugin - am using Wordpress2.7, with the HeadSpace plugin - the PostRank widget displays a list of top posts - but all of them with the same title: the global page title - instead of displaying individual post titles.

Inappropriate?Hi Douglas -- Did you make any changes to your site or feed back in the fall? I'm looking at the posts in your RSS feed, and October 20th and earlier, the posts have normal post titles. But October 26th and since, they all show "Talent Development Resources - the psychology of creativity and personal growth" - same thing showing up in the widget.
In any case, I'll ask the devs to see if they can see anything specific in the back end that would be the cause of it. -
Inappropriate? Thanks for your quick reply. I am looking forward to using the widget on my site - it will be a real service to both me and to visitors.
I don't understand what RSS feed you are looking at - the RSS feed link on my front page is to feedburner
http://feeds.feedburner.com/TalentDev...
and shows the post titles fine.
Feedburner uses the feed
http://talentdevelop.com/?feed=atom
which also looks fine in Firefox, and displays post links below the blog title, like this:
Talent Development Resources» Talent Development Resources - the psychology of creativity and personal growth

Inappropriate?Douglas, your main RSS feed (the one I get when I click on the RSS icon in the browser), takes me to the RSS 2.0 version, the link for which is: http://talentdevelop.com/feed/
As you can see, that's the feed we've indexed in our system, and it does appear that something is not working right in your blog platform -- all of the stories have the same title.
I've just added your ATOM feed to our index, and it will be processed shortly. Here's a link you can monitor: http://www.postrank.com/feed/feeds.fe...
I would suggest that you fix the RSS 2.0 version, since a lot of your readers may subscribe to the default RSS option, and they will all see same post titles. -
Inappropriate? The default feed is now Atom [since yesterday] - but the PostRank widget is still not showing post titles - has it not been processed yet, per your note above?
-
Inappropriate?Hello again -- Everything's been processed now. If you go here: http://www.postrank.com/feed/4a8a14ba... you can see that the posts in that widget (on the left) are showing correct titles.
Ilya thinks there might be something wrong with the feed hash you used for the widget on your blog (since those titles remain the same).
Could you try removing the widget from your site, then go to that page I linked to above, clicking "Get this Widget", and trying a new install from there? -
Inappropriate?OK - it is working. I Used the "supplied code snippet" on the page you listed above. I first tried using the Wordpress plugin [as a new download], but that had the old problem.
FYI - when I first went to the above page, I tried using my site address http://talentdevelop.com - which did not work [the widget did not show post titles], even though the default RSS feed is now Atom, which does work.
I’m thankful

New feed location means new feed ID. Your old one would still have been stored as "primary". Will make sure to confirm that everything get's updated.
