What Are My Feeds Broken to PostRank?
I am having problems as well with chrisabraham.com and marketingconversation.com and I am not sure if it is a problem with Feedburner or maybe some sort of plugin in my Wordpress install -- please help me out when you have a chance!
My friend, Charles Moran, wrote this, which I don't understand:
"Here's why PostRank is giving you a 1: the auto-discoverable feed for your site is http://www.google.com/reader/view/fee...
PostRank's spiders can't view that redirected URL and therefore can't pull up any of the posts to grab data. Is there a specific reason you have that URL set up as auto-discoverable rather than just http://cabraham.com/rss.xml ? I would recommend making that direct URL auto-discoverable, and the spiders should be able to see it just fine the next time they come around.
I've noticed this happening with the handful of blogs with auto-discoverable feeds as well."
And
"Ah, too many sites! Okay, actually your new site has the exact same issue. The auto-discoverable feed is this: http://www.google.com/reader/view/fee...
Which isn't a direct link to your feed, merely a display of your feed via google. You should have this address: http://chrisabraham.com/feed/ as your auto-discoverable feed address in order to alleviate the issue with PostRank."

Inappropriate?Hi Chris -- Just looks like an issue with your old sites' feeds in our system. That can happen when people switch to FeedBurner, change blogging platforms, get a new URL, etc.
This certainly looks out of date: http://www.postrank.com/feed/74ace7ea...
This one looks ok, though: http://www.postrank.com/feed/50eb8df6... -- what issue, specifically, are you seeing with that site's feed?
In any case, I've logged this for the devs to update. I'll let you know when it's fixed. -
Inappropriate?I am only having the issue with http://www.postrank.com/feed/74ace7ea... -- thanks for helping me update the feed!
