Recently active problems in Pownce

Hi everyone,

Just wanted to give a heads up that we're aware of this issue that was up for a few minutes and it should now be fixed!

On my Pownce home page, I get a notification of having a friend request, but when I click on it, I'm told that I have no friend requests and it won't go away.

ok here's the deal:
i am on a mac and have the same problem in both safari & firefox.
if i am not logged in to Pownce i can go to pownce and surf around no problems, i can even go to my own pownce profile page and look around no problems.
i can create a dummy account and then sign in and be fine. no problems.
but as soon as i sign in to my REAL ACCOUNT then i cannot get into my pownce. once i sign in i can view other people's pownce accounts but i CANNOT get into mine.

i get this error in safari:
"Safari can’t open the page “http://pownce.com/djp/”. The error was: “Operation could not be completed. (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork error 302.)” (kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork:302) Please choose Report Bugs to Apple from the Safari menu, note the error number, and describe what you did before you saw this message."

HELP ME! this is severely annoying.

I downloaded the new version of Adobe AIR and now I can't publish notes with Pownce desktop because there are no recipients in the drop down box any more.

I can’t seem to to post ANYTHING to Pownce through IE 7.0.5 something, or through the app. IE doesn’t give me any errors, it simply does nothing! :-) The app. tells me to upload something less then 0MB in size! I haven’t been able to post any files so how could I have ran out of room!? Not to mention, I’ve only had the account for 2 days! Any help is appreciated! Oh, btw: OS is XPsp2 (just in case you need that)

500 ERROR screen this morning. At times I can see my public page, but when I try to log in, I get a 500...and then can no longer see my public page or login. Mobile app gives me 500 and desktop app shows a blank screen.

Never ending friend request shows on my profile/dashboard on pownce.com

Pownce is down again and will not load. Things were working fine this morning, but the site will not load this afternoon. Has there been any headway into fixing this issue? We have not had any communication from the developers in the past few days. Please learn from the mistakes of your competitor, Twitter. They now regularly update their users with problems and fixes via their blog. A little communication goes a long way.

Official air client doesn't work ... I know there is Pownce Monkey but I don't like it, is that the official client? Well ... let it do its job!

Another thing ... please delete for me this stupid non existent friendship request ...

I can't understand why these problems takes so long ... you develop your API and you develop official client ... it's so difficult to modifiy them together?

I really like pownce but it must work ... alse it's unuseful!

There seems to be a problem with posts displaying in friends lists.

Example: I've made 4 public posts today and after taking an informal poll of my friends (on another site) to see what they could and could not see on my page, they either saw no posts from today or only the first post I posted today.

I'm also not seeing posts from friends in my feed when I'm logged in. Strangely enough, if I log out, I can see my friends' public posts.

Whenever I try to upload a file using the mobile site m.pownce.com I get an internal server error. I have never been able to post a file using it. at the bottom of the error page it says:
apache/2.2.3 (debian) mod_python/3.2.10 python/2.4.4 PHP/5.2.0-8+etch9 server at m.pownce.com Port 80
What's going on?

I cannot connect to Pownce.com because of an error with a certain server somewhere along the route to the server. The offending server is below.

That's part of a tracert I ran on pownce.com. All requests before it have perfectly normal timing, and all requests after it time out until tracert gives up on its own.

I added a link to my hi5 profile, but the icon displayed is a 43things icon.

i disabled some cookies in firefox, now i cannot get into my hotmail. i have checked enable cookies and even typed in the names of the cookies i had disabled and cli;cked enable n;othing works help.

I keep getting a 404 / "Ack! We can't find that page" whenever I login. The only way I can tell that I'm logged in is because there is a "Logout" button as well as "Find friends" and "Settings"

I did a password change as I read on here that someone else had the same problem and that fixed it. But I'm not having any luck. Any ideas?

Is there a reason Pownce is down more than usual today?

It's getting to the point where many people are defecting to other sites. I really have tried to defend the site, especially after my last post here (and Ariel's response). It has been better than usual lately, but for some reason today, the site has been down more often than it has been up.

Yes, I am aware of the API problem that happened earlier today, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with the current problems. I think some of us would appreciate hearing something - ANYTHING - about what the problems are and how quickly you expect to have them fixed. I've been checking the blog, and we haven't heard much of anything, really.

I have been a big defender of you since the last time something happened. I can put up with periodic white pages, personally, but I'm not sure how long that will last for the rest of the general population. I know I'm upset about the lack of acknowledgment of this particular problem. Even a blog post about the outage would have helped. So since I can't post a response to the blog, I'll post here. Can you please let us know what in the world is going on right now?

I seem to be able to get my front page to load just fine, but whenever I try to get to the older notes, I get a "white screen of death" and have to refresh several times before things work.

I'm using Firefox 3 RC3 on XP Pro.
